Fire Service Attendance

Many of you will have seen West Midlands Fire Service attend Chivenor House on Tuesday 3rd March. This was as a result of us being contact by a concerned resident advising that they could smell smoke coming from the basement area. We immediately called West midlands Fire Service who attended within minutes. We worked closely with them to conduct a thorough investigation of the basement and first floor areas of Chivenor House, including the use of thermal imaging equipment. Thankfully, we were unable to find any trace or evidence of a fire or fault that could lead to a fire, but there was a faint smell of smoke on arrival that quickly dispersed. We obviously take all reports of fire extremely seriously and because of the search by the fire service not finding anything, we have decided to put in place a waking watch, this is a processes where an individual is continuously on site, monitoring and looking out for any signs of fire. They will be in place from this evening where we will review it again in 48 hours. We will continue to update you should the situation change, but for the meantime your home is safe. Please remember, that if you see, hear or smell a fire, report it immediately to West Midlands Fire Service. Further information on what to do in the event of a fire is available at:- https://www.pioneergroup.org.uk/your-home/fire-safety/ Regards Dave Livesey Director of Asset Management The Pioneer Group.
